Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 22, 2026
1. Introduction
Eventrise, LLC (“Eventrise”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose personal information when you use our websites, mobile apps, checkout pages, and related services (together, the “Platform”), whether you are an event organizer, an attendee, or a visitor.
Eventrise is the controller of the personal information we collect for our own purposes, such as operating the Platform and marketing our services. When an event organizer uses the Platform to sell tickets or collect information from attendees, the organizer is the controller of that information and we process it on the organizer’s behalf (see Section 9).
By using the Platform you agree to this Privacy Policy and to our Terms and Conditions.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide. We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, list or purchase an event ticket, subscribe to updates, respond to registration questions, or contact us. This may include:
Name
Email address
Mobile phone number (if you provide it or opt in to text messages)
Billing address and payment information (payment card details are collected directly by Stripe, our payment processor; see Section 8)
Event details, business information, and payout details (for organizers, collected by Stripe during account onboarding)
Ticket preferences, seat selections, and answers to an organizer’s registration questions (for attendees)
Device identifiers and push notification tokens (if you use our apps or enable notifications)
Communication preferences and records of your consent, including when and how you opted in or out
Messages you send us, including support requests
Information collected automatically. When you use the Platform we automatically collect log and usage data, such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the dates and times of your visits, using cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).
Information from other sources. We may receive information about you from event organizers (for example, guest lists or attendee imports), from Stripe (such as payment status and limited transaction details), from our seating, fraud prevention, and analytics providers, and from social or login providers you choose to connect.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Provide, operate, and manage the Platform, including creating accounts, listing events, and delivering tickets
Process transactions, payouts, refunds, and disputes through Stripe
Send transactional messages about your orders, tickets, events, and account, such as confirmations, receipts, event changes, and security notices
Send marketing messages from Eventrise, or on behalf of event organizers, where permitted by law and your preferences
Provide customer support and respond to your requests
Analyze usage and improve, personalize, and develop the Platform
Prevent fraud, spam, and abuse, enforce our Terms, and maintain email and text message deliverability
Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
We may also aggregate or de-identify information so that it no longer identifies you and use that information for any purpose.
4. Email, Text Message, and Push Notifications
Eventrise and the event organizers who use our platform may contact you by email, text message (SMS/MMS), and push notification. This section explains how those messages work and the choices you have.
Transactional messages relate to a purchase or your account, such as order confirmations, tickets, receipts, refunds, event changes or cancellations, and security notices. We send these even if you opt out of marketing, because they are needed to provide the service.
Marketing messages promote events, products, or services. They are sent by Eventrise or by an organizer you have purchased from or subscribed to, only as permitted by law, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
Messages from event organizers. Organizers can use Eventrise to email and message their attendees and subscribers, including from their own verified email domain (for example, tickets@organizer.com). The organizer decides the content and recipients of those messages and is responsible for obtaining any consent required by law. For those messages the organizer is the sender, and Eventrise processes your information on the organizer’s behalf as a service provider. Unsubscribing from one organizer does not unsubscribe you from other organizers or from Eventrise. For questions about how an organizer uses your information, contact the organizer directly; we will help where we can.
Email delivery and tracking. We use third-party email delivery providers, such as Mailgun, to send email. Our emails may contain tracking pixels and tracked links that record whether a message was delivered, opened, or clicked, together with your IP address and device or email client type. We use this information to deliver messages reliably, prevent abuse, and measure engagement, and we share it with the organizer who sent the message. You can limit open tracking by turning off automatic image loading in your email client.
Text messages (SMS/MMS). If you provide your mobile number and opt in, you may receive recurring automated text messages from Eventrise or from organizers you have purchased from, such as order and ticket confirmations, event reminders, and event updates, and, only if you separately agree, marketing messages. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. We use Twilio to deliver text messages.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories of sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Service providers that deliver text messages on our behalf process your number only to provide that service.
Push notifications. If you use an Eventrise app or enable browser notifications, we may send push notifications about your tickets, events, and account, and, where you allow it, promotional updates. These are delivered through platform services such as Apple Push Notification service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, which receive a device token to route the notification. You can turn off push notifications at any time in your device or browser settings.
Your choices. You can opt out of marketing email using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, opt out of text messages by replying STOP, and turn off push notifications in your device or browser settings. You can also contact us at support@eventrise.com to update your preferences. We process opt-out requests promptly, and in any case within 10 business days. Where the law requires consent (for example, in the EEA, UK, and Canada), we send marketing messages only with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time. You will continue to receive transactional messages after opting out of marketing.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, understand how the Platform is used, provide live chat support, and measure and deliver our advertising. Where the law requires it (for example, in the EEA and UK), we set non-essential cookies only with your consent, which you can give or withdraw through our cookie banner. You can also control cookies through your browser settings. For details of the cookies we use and how to manage them, see our Cookie Policy.
6. Legal Bases, Your Rights, and International Transfers (GDPR and UK GDPR)
Legal bases. If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal information on the following legal bases: to perform our contract with you (for example, to deliver tickets you purchase); with your consent (for example, marketing messages where consent is required); for our legitimate interests, such as securing and improving the Platform and preventing fraud, where those interests are not overridden by your rights; and to comply with legal obligations.
Your rights. You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to our processing of it, to receive a copy of it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at support@eventrise.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
International transfers. Eventrise is based in the United States and processes information there and in other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for transfers out of the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. You can request more information about these safeguards by contacting us.
7. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only as follows:
Event organizers: when you purchase a ticket, register for, or subscribe to an organizer’s events, we share your name, contact details, order details, and your answers to the organizer’s registration questions with that organizer. Organizers use this information under their own privacy policies, including to contact you about their events (see Section 9).
Stripe: our payment processor, which processes payments, payouts, refunds, and disputes and performs identity verification for organizers. Stripe handles your information under its own privacy policy (see Section 8).
Service providers: companies that help us operate the Platform, such as email delivery (Mailgun and SendGrid), text messaging (Twilio), push notification delivery (Apple and Google), seating and ticketing tools, cloud hosting and storage, analytics, error monitoring, and customer support. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, and property of Eventrise, our users, or others, to enforce our Terms, or to investigate fraud or security issues.
Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business or assets, subject to this policy.
With your direction: when you ask us to share information, such as when you connect a third-party service or make a purchase through an organizer’s website that embeds our checkout.
Mobile phone numbers and text messaging consent are shared only as described in Section 4.
8. Payment Information and Stripe
Payments on the Platform are processed by Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates (“Stripe”). When you pay for a ticket, your payment card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe; Eventrise does not receive or store your full card number. When an organizer connects a Stripe account to receive payouts, Stripe collects the organizer’s business, identity, tax, and bank account information directly for onboarding and verification.
Stripe processes this information under its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy. We receive from Stripe limited information needed to operate the Platform, such as payment status, the last four digits and brand of your card, and dispute and refund details.
9. Event Organizers as Independent Controllers
10. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. For example, we keep order and transaction records for at least the period required by tax and payment rules, and we keep records of your marketing opt-outs so that we can continue to honor them. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
11. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
12. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, to obtain a copy of it, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to opt out of marketing.
To make a request, email support@eventrise.com or use the contact details in Section 16. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Marketing choices. You can opt out of marketing email using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, opt out of text messages by replying STOP, and turn off push notifications in your device or browser settings (see Section 4).
Account information. You can review and update your account information by logging into your account. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us; we may retain certain information as described in Section 10.
13. California and Other US State Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA”), gives you additional rights. Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, and Virginia) have similar rights.
Categories of personal information. In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name, email address, phone number, and IP address); customer records (such as billing address and order history); commercial information (such as tickets purchased); internet or network activity (such as pages viewed and interactions with our emails); approximate geolocation derived from IP address; and inferences drawn from the above (such as event interests). We collect this information from the sources, use it for the purposes, and share it with the categories of third parties described in Sections 2, 3, and 7.
Sale and sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. However, we use advertising cookies and pixels from Meta and Google on our websites to measure our ads and show Eventrise ads to people who have visited our site. Under the CCPA this may be considered “sharing” personal information (identifiers and internet activity) for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out at any time by rejecting Marketing cookies in our cookie banner, and we honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control on our websites. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Your rights. You have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion or correction of your personal information; to opt out of any sale or sharing; to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that require this right); and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise these rights, email support@eventrise.com. We will verify your request using information associated with your account and respond within 45 days, which we may extend once by another 45 days where permitted.
Sensitive personal information. We collect account log-in credentials and, through Stripe, payment card information. We use this information only to provide the Platform and process payments, and not to infer characteristics about you.
14. Children’s Privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it. Organizers who run events for minors are responsible for obtaining any parental consent required by law before collecting attendee information.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on the Platform with a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, by email or a notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after an update means you accept the updated policy.
